Settling upon Montreal

Group Fatigati roots back to when four brothers emigrated from Italy to Canada in the quest of obtaining a better standard of living. They settled upon Montreal in 1951; but it was not until 1957, after much struggle in learning the language and attaining the means for mere survival, that they were finally able to open a small iron workshop in the east end of the city.

1972 - Workshop Transformation

1972

Workshop Transformation

From the fabrication of stairs, balconies, and ornamental work, this workshop was eventually transformed into a steel and plate works after purchasing a Cut-To-Length in 1972. Our affiliate company, Coilex, has followed this line of work to this day and further expanded their services into precision leveling.

1989 - Official Establishement

1989

Official Establishment

It was only in 1989, with the investment on our first Slitter, that Fati Steel was officially established. Thereafter through hard work and determination, alongside the acquisition of more machinery over the years, the company grew to be a reputable manufacturer of quality slit-edged flat bars and steel blanks.

2007 - New Beginnings

2007

New Beginnings

A steady progression later brought us to relocate into a new development in 2007. Strategically situated in the south shore of Montreal, our impressive 160,000 sq. ft. facility was also met with a cutting edge Tubing Mill in 2009. Today with the second and third generation working closely together, we keep striving to not ever stagnate.
